The Southern Journey Transport program is sponsored by Pawsitive Supporters and Top Dogs Pet Boutique.  Once a month 30-50 dogs are transported to New England to find forever homes.  We transport these dogs because while shelters, volunteers, rescue groups, and  fosters try hard; there are NOT enough homes here in the South for all the strays and owner turn-ins.  Most of the pets are already spoken for before they arrive.  The transporters are required to send pictures and bios before the pets will be accepted by the shelters in New England.  The cost of each transport is about $2,000, depending on the price of gas, etc.
