Trains, Trains, Trains – January 28 and 29!

dsc02702trainsWhether you are a lifelong model train enthusiast or you don’t know your O-gauge from your N-scale, model trains are for everyone! Come to the Trains, Trains, Trains event at the Southern Museum to see the best collection of model and modular train layouts in the area! The seventh-annual installment of Trains, Trains, Trains will be held on Saturday, January 28 and Sunday, January 29 from 9:30am to 5:00pm both days.

Come to the Southern Museum in Kennesaw, to enjoy the nostalgia and classic joy of model trains. Children of all ages will be fascinated by all things “choo-choo” so attend and share this great pastime with the younger generations. There will be a variety of model scales represented at the event, set up by hobby groups from around the Southeast. The Chattanooga Modular Modelers will bring an N-scale model with details so tiny you can’t even imagine how they make it work. The Georgia Garden Railway Society will set up their Garden scale layout, a returning favorite with a camera on the front to get a trains-eye view of the children watching.

Trains, Trains, Trains 2017 will bring back some of last year’s favorite bluegrass musicians, an expanded General Emporium gift shop with new shirts and toys, and several interactive layouts for kids of all ages to enjoy!

Museum admission for the event is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $5.50 for children ages 4-12, and free for children three and under as well as Museum members. Pre-sale tickets will be available online beginning in January, so save time and skip the line by buying tickets early! For more information, call 770-427-2117 ext. 3058 or visit southernmuseum.org.
