All proceeds benefit the great gig DANCE Ensemble located next to Big Lots on Wade Green Rd., K. Great Gig Dance Ensemble is a group of young dancers between the ages of 6 and 18. Based out of Great Gig Dance Co. in Kennesaw, the group performs throughout the local community of Acworth-Kennesaw-Woodstock-Marietta, as well as throughout the Southeast and beyond.

Two Major Fund Raisers for American Legion

american-flag-2a.jpg (JPEG Image, 640 × 480 pixels)Post 304 is hosting a Gigantic Yard Sale on the property, 4220 South Main Street, on Saturday, September 21, 2013, and a Grand Ole Opry on Sunday, September 22, next door at the Impact Dance Studio, 4246 South Main Street. The goal: these two events will bring in some $5-6,000, and more fundraisers are in the works.

For the Yard Sale, vendor spaces and tables will be available for $15-20 and donations of items for the Post to sell will be gladly accepted. Cash donations will also be accepted and, since the Post is a 501 (c) 19 non-profit veterans organization, all donations may be tax deductible (check with your financial advisor). Advance reservations are available and items may be delivered to the Post Home prior to the Sale.

For the Grand Ole Opry, eight to ten country singing star impersonators will thrill the crowd on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. Elvis, Johnnie Cash, Patsy Cline, Reba McIntyre and others will be there! Tickets may be purchased in advance for $10. for a single and $15. for a couple. At the door, tickets are $15 and $20.

Yard Sale to Benefit HOMELESS Animals

Mostly Mutts is heading up their 5th annual indoor yard sale at Uncle Bob’s Self Storage, 1125 Roberts Blvd., Kennesaw, GA 30144 during the weekends of Feb. 15-17, Feb. 22-24 and March 1-3.  Gently used and new items will be sold by about 10 area animal rescue organizations in approximately 20,000 square feet of space donated by Uncle Bob’s Self Storage. 100% of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the animal rescues in their efforts to provide care and vetting to some of the 70,000+ homeless animals in the Atlanta area.
