WED NOV 9 – GARDEN CLUB MEETING – Come and socialize and listen to this month’s program on “Let the Holiday Season Begin! Ideas for holiday decor”. This meeting is also our annual bake sale so come prepared to purchase delicious edibles. FRI NOV 11 – VETERANS DAY PARADE – The City of Marietta and the Kiwanis Club of Marietta’s will host the 12th Annual Veterans Day Parade at 11am on the Marietta Square. Grand Marshall for the 2016 Veterans Day Parade is Captain Ed Gallrein, United States Navy SEAL (retired).

FRI NOV 11 VETERANS DAY LUNCHEON sponsored by the City of Kennesaw and American Legion Post 304.  Lunch is complimentary to all veterans and active military personnel.  The event will be held from noon – 2 pm at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw.

FRI NOV 11 VETERANS DAY CEREMONY sponsored by the City of Acworth.  Join us on Friday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Patriots Point at Cauble Park, home of the Veterans Memorial to honor our nation’s veterans.  This year’s keynote speaker is State Representative Ed Setzler, Mr. Setzler served on active duty for nine years as an officer in the US Army.

SAT NOV 12 – HOLIDAY BAZAAR – Friends in Faith Holiday Bazaar will be held from 9:00-3:00 at Kennesaw United Methodist Church in our Christian Activity Center. Start your holiday shopping here! SAT NOV 12 – ELECTRONICS & PAINT RECYCLING – Hosted by Harrison High School Bands in the upper parking lot of Harrison High School from 9am-5pm. There is a $10.00 requested donation per car load. 100% of the donation goes to the HHS Bands program. There is a $20.00 processing fee for 1 TV/monitor and $15.00 each for 2 or more. A portion of this amount goes to HHS Bands as well. We are now offering large item pick-ups for an additional donation fee. SAT NOV 12 – CHEROKEE HEIGHTS ARTS FESTIVAL – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Etowah Drive between Freyer and Seminole Drives in Marietta. There is no admission charge and all parking is free. Enjoy a wide variety of local arts and crafts, entertainment and children’s art-play booths.

SAT NOV 12 – INDOOR ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR – 10am-4pm; Cartersville Civic Center 435 W. Main St.  Over 70 vendors with handcrafted items. Food and drink available for purchase.  Get a head start on your holiday shopping & have some lunch.  Free admission and parking. Sponsored by Friends of Bartow County Library.

SAT NOV 12 – MARIETTA TREE KEEPERS – Join us as we plant trees in the Marietta City Cemetery at 8:30am. The parking/sign-in address is: Brown Park, 358 West Atlanta St., Marietta, 30064, look for the green signage. In case of bad weather please call 770-424-4664 for weather updates and rain date.
