Acworth Farmers Market – The Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer’s Market will begin this season on Friday, April 6 and continue each Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until noon through Friday, October 26. SAT APR 14 MARIETTA TREE KEEPERS – 8:30 AM. Calling for volunteers of all ages to come out and assist Marietta Tree Keepers as we maintain Hill Park on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Hill Park is a pretty little pocket park that was transformed from a once vacant lot just a few blocks off the northeast corner of Historic Marietta Square. The park was dedicated to the memory of Willie Hill, deacon of Zion Baptist Church. We will also travel to other planting locations to maintain other past planting sites. Life Rolls On is inviting hundreds of volunteers, people of all ages with disabilities, as entire families come together for an epic day at the Kennesaw Skate Park, in Swift Cantrell Park,Kennesaw on Saturday April 28. Bring a helmet, knee and elbow pads, and of course, your fastest wheels. Very special thanks for triple eight offering to bring some helmets and knee and elbow pads for athletes who don’t have their own equipment, but want to participate! SAT APR 28 – KENNESAW RECYCLING AND SHREDDING EVENT 9 am till 1 pm at the Kennesaw Public Works facility, 3080 Moon Station Rd. This event is free and open to all. SAT & SUN – MAY 5-6 MAY-RETTA DAZE ARTS & CRAFTS. The Marietta Parks and Recreation Department invites our community to attend the 42nd Annual May-retta Daze Arts and Crafts Festival held in Glover Park in the Historic Marietta Square on May 5-6, 2018. Sat 10-5; Sun 11-5.
More than 100 local and area artists and craftspeople will display and sell their paintings, pottery, jewelry, and much more at the annual festival. Admission to the festival is free.

Inside the Agora (marketplace), you’ll have a unique shopping experience courtesy of a multitude of merchants. Outside, your children can participate in various games, activities and crafts in the Kid’s Area. “Lumiere Lounge” (6-10pm) on the second floor at the Strand Theatre Come to the Strand and pay homage to the days of old with a silent film inspired piano bar and lounge! As you sink into a plush couch or join a friend at a café table, the modern world seems to drift away as classic silent films quietly flicker in the background while a live pianist plays. GHOSTS OF MARIETTA WALKING TOUR (7:30pm) Walk the streets of our haunted city by lantern light, guided by one of our talented storytellers. SATURDAYS  MARIETTA SQUARE ARTISAN MARKET is on Second and Fourth Saturdays.  April through November. The Marietta Square Artisan Market is an open-air showcase of locally-created fine art and premium hand-crafted goods.
