THURS JUNE 6 MARIETTA TREE KEEPERS BEER TASTING FUNDRAISER. Marietta Tree Keepers invites you to attend our annual fundraiser beer tasting on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 5-7pm Come out and enjoy a delicious variety of craft beers, win great raffle prizes, enjoy hors d’oevres, and help support Marietta Tree Keepers, a great organization. FRI-SUN JUNE 7-9 Dixie Highway Yard Sale This event goes from Marietta all the way to the Georgia-Tennessee State Line. The Marietta History Museum is participating on Friday and Saturday. The Museum’s Yard Sale will start on Friday, June 7th at 10am and will end at 9pm, coinciding with the First Friday Art Walk. The sale will then continue Saturday, June 8th from 10am until 4pm. All proceeds from this event go towards the care and preservation of the Museum’s permanent collection. THURS & FRI JUNE 20 & 21 12:00-3:00 PM MAGIC AT THE MUSEUM: WIZARDING SCHOOL June 20 is for children ages 7-10, June 21 is for ages 11-17. Students will enjoy a feast in the Great Hall, create three magical crafts, solve a mystery, and tackle a trivia game. There is also a costume contest, so wizarding wear is encouraged. Parents are welcome to tour the castle after the event. Students who bring a children’s book to donate to a local literacy program will receive a free wand. MON-FRI JUN 24-28 KMHS DRAMA CAMP KMHS Drama Camp this summer. There are two camp sessions: June 24-28 and July 8-12. Camp is from 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday and registration is $150. Campers will be participating in acting games/improv, music, dance, costumes, tech theatre, theatre etiquette and the audition/rehearsal process. FRI JUNE 28 GLOVER PARK CONCERT SERIES. The Marietta community will again be “dancing in the street” during the Glover Park Concert Series. The series features local and regional acts on the last Friday night, NOW through September. Come listen to Chicago Rewired Chicago Tribute Band, Blankets and lawn chairs may be set up in the park. Personal tables and plastic ground coverings are not permitted in the park, however they may be set up on the street after 5:30 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner (beer & wine is permitted) or dine in one of the many fine restaurants located on the square.  All concerts begin at 8:00 (rain or shine) and are held in Glover Park on the Historic Marietta Square Free on street parking, City Hall parking deck, 205 Lawrence St and the Care Here of Marietta parking lot, 268 Lawrence St. Concerts are free. MONDAYS May 6 – August 26 KENNESAW FARMER’S MARKET AND DINNER AT THE DEPOT. The Farmer’s Market & Dinner at the Depot returns May 6th on Monday evenings at the Depot. The season will go until AUGUST 26th with no events on Memorial Day, the week of July 4th. Hours for FM are 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Dinner at the Depot will start at 5:30 pm and go until 8:30 pm. “Lumiere Lounge” (6-10pm) on the second floor at the Strand Theatre Come to the Strand and pay homage to the days of old with a silent film inspired piano bar and lounge!
