KSU Presents Starlight Series Events

music-notesThe College of The Arts and the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business (MEBUS) program in the Michael J. Coles College of Business have joined forces this year to bring award-winning artists and performers to the Kennesaw State campus for the annual Starlight Series. Both College of The Arts and MEBUS students will assist in promoting and producing the shows and will gain valuable hands-on experience working with entertainment professionals.

Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy during the concerts. Lawn seating is available for all performances, and for performances at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheater, table seating for six people is available for $75.

Photohike at Red Top Mountain

photographerPhotographers of all skill levels are invited to join the Friends of Red Top Mountain on a hike around the Lakeside Trail. Hone your photography skills as you enjoy good company and beautiful scenery. Meet in the Discovery Room at the Park Office on Saturday June 29.  The two hour hike starts at 9:00, so be at the office a few minutes before.

While the hike is FREE. All vehicles must display an annual or $5 daily ParkPass.

Downtown Woodstock Goes Mobile with New App

The app debuted this month and is free to download. The app allows you to explore Downtown Woodstock at your own pace. On the app you will be able to find information about the wonderful  stores & restaurants in Downtown Woodstock, check out the event calendar for info on exciting upcoming events in Downtown Woodstock, learn more about attractions such as the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village, and a map to show where all these great businesses, attractions and events are located. For visitors to Woodstock the app will also include useful information on the hotels located in the City of Woodstock. Another great feature of the app is  a notification system which will allow users of the app to receive updates on events in Downtown Woodstock and specials being offered by Downtown businesses.

With the increased popularity of apps people are increasingly using mobile devices to find information to help plan their free time. The Visit Woodstock App will offer useful info both to residents and visitors to Woodstock to help both fully enjoy all that Downtown Woodstock has to offer.
