SAT SEP 14 KENNESAW’S OUTDOOR MOVIES The City of Kennesaw’s 2013 Outdoor Movie Series continues on Saturday, September 14 with a free screening of Disney/Pixar’s Brave at Swift-Cantrell Park, 3140 Old 41 Highway. The movie will begin around 8 p.m. Before the movie (beginning at 6 p.m.), outdoors and camping lovers will have the opportunity to experience a model camp site and participate in a variety of FREE and pay-to-play activities including a rock climbing wall, inflatables, a rope bridge, obstacle course, relay races, and duct tape crafts. ImportantDate1SUN. SEPT 15 MALLORY’S WALK 1:15 at NorthStar Church. Georgia Transplant Foundation created this scholarship in honor of Mallory Smith. The Walk will be held on Sunday, September 15th at Northstar Church in Kennesaw, check in will begin at 1:15, the walk will begin at 2:00 and will last until 3:15 with a short rally afterwards.  The registration fee for the walk is $5.00 which includes a t-shirt.  Please visit and select journal for all the up to date details on the walk and to learn how you can get involved!

TUES SEPT 17 FREE Biometric Screening for area residents on Tuesday, September 17 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw. Total cholesterol and glucose screenings will be performed via finger stick, with results received in minutes. In addition, blood pressure screenings, Body Mass Index (BMI) and waist circumference measurements will be provided at no charge. Fasting is not required.
