Harvest at the Homestead

Saturday & Sunday 10 AM – 4 PM from Sep 21, 2013 until Sep 22, 2013

This Fall, come to Red Top Mountain State Park to travel back in time through history and legend. The park’s annual “Harvest at the Homestead” event, which interprets life in the 1850s, will be held on September 21 and 22 from 10 am to 4 pm. “Harvest at the Homestead is one of our more popular special events because of all the activities we have going on, many of which are very hands-on. We’ve got blacksmithing, cooking, spinning, sewing, music, toys and games, candle-dipping and more. This year we’re even going to be making cane syrup on both days,” says Marcus Toft, the park’s Interpretive Ranger. You can even visit a Civil War camp. $5 parking. 770-975-0055.
