What’s Happening This Weekend!!

Trains, Trains, Trains is this Weekend

Trains, Trains, Trains presented by Dixie Precast!  will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, and Sunday, January 28 at the Southern Museum, Kennesaw.

Bigger and better than ever, the Museum has pulled out all the stops for two incredible, fun-filled days of family oriented activities. “Model trains are a wonderful way to bring families together,” remarks Dr. Richard Banz, executive director of the Southern Museum, “Each year we see many repeat families, many of whom stay and enjoy the event for the greater part of the day.”

This year’s Trains, Trains, Trains! will include model railroad layouts of different scales and gauges from regional groups including North Georgia Tinplate Trackers, Athens Bend Track, North Georgia Garden Railroad Society, and more! DixieLUG LEGO® User Group returns with their extremely popular Lego model train layout.  With over 25,000 square feet of intricate and elaborate train layouts for train enthusiasts, exhibits, and interactive activities, the whole family can enjoy this extraordinary event while making memories that last a lifetime.

An expanded Museum Gift Shop will offer new train items, lots of children’s books, and exquisite, new-to-the-museum gifts, toys, and collectibles, perfect for the train enthusiasts, kids, and fans of history!

Admission is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $5.50 for children ages 4-12, and free for children three and under. This event is FREE for members. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit SouthernMuseum.org/TTT today or call (770) 427-2117.
