Kennesaw’s Salute to America – July 3

The City of Kennesaw kicks off our Independence Day Celebration of freedom, music and fireworks on Tuesday, July 3 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 pm in downtown Kennesaw. Admission to the event is FREE.

Salute to America will feature two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors, and kid’s activities. The evening will be capped off with a brilliant fireworks finale at 9:30 pm.

On the Main Street stage from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., The School of Rock, a student lead band will impress the crowd with their music. The American Flyers, an Atlanta-based party band, will perform music spanning from the classics of yesterday to the top hits of today on the Main Street Stage beginning at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. and on the Depot stage, Fantabulous, a 5-piece party band will perform Top 40 hits from the 1960’s to today from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 pm, Head Games – The Foreigner Tribute Band will perform all of the legendary rock band’s classic songs, including “Feels Like the First Time,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Juke Box Hero.”

In addition to street vendor and sponsor booths, attractions will include free and pay-to-play inflatable amusement park games and mechanical rides. A wide selection of entrées, cold beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase. Attendees may bring picnic baskets or coolers. Grills will not be allowed.
A six-foot rectangular table with chairs will be located in front of the Depot Stage. This area seats six and can be reserved for $75. With the exception of reserved tables near the Depot Stage, all seating will be general admission, so bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chairs.

Kennesaw city parks are “Breathe Easy Zones”; tobacco products, smoking, and e-cigarettes are prohibited in Depot Park. Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) will be available for convenient cash withdrawals. The event may be cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather conditions.

Celebrate the Fourth – Right Here at Home

fireworks1WED JULY 3 KENNESAW’S FOURTH OF JULY – The City of Kennesaw’s Salute to America, Independence Day celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 3, and will feature FREE, high-energy live music and  talented entertainers, plus one of the biggest and brightest star-spangled firework displays in North Georgia. The event is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. in downtown Kennesaw. Hollywood Nights, a New Jersey-based tribute to Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, will be the music headliner. The band will present a free concert on the main stage at 7:30 p.m.,  Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m., and will be visible from several locations throughout downtown Kennesaw.

THUS JULY 4 – ACWORTH’S FOURTH OF JULY, Live music and fireworks at Cauble Park. Live music with the Paul Hand Band will start at 5:00 p.m. leading up to headliners “FLASHBACK” at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is free; however tables are available for the July 4 concert. Tables are $50 each for City of Acworth residents and $70 for non-residents. With the table you get 6 chairs and one parking pass. This parking pass will allow you to park at Cauble Park as long as spots remain available. Parking at Cauble Park is by pass only on July 4 but you are not guaranteed a parking spot at Cauble Park with this pass so please plan on arriving early.

THUS JULY 4 MARIETTA’S FOURTH OF JULY 10-10. Grab your American flag, put on your red, white and blue, and celebrate America’s independence July 4, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. with an Independence Day parade and celebration on the Square, free live concerts, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and Superior Plumbing fireworks finale. Throughout the day, more than 80,000 people are expected to celebrate on the Square with great food, fun activities, the best arts and crafts around and free entertainment from different local entertainers and even Universal Republic Nashville Records country star- Greg Bates presented by 94.9 The Bull.  Plan on spending the day and enjoy shopping over 100 craft vendors, food concessions, a Kid’s Zone, concerts and fireworks.  Fireworks scheduled for 9:30 pm.

THUR. JULY 4 “The Great American Family Picnic” in the park at Marietta First United Methodist Church: A Star-Spangled Fundraiser for MUST. Marietta will have its annual Independence Day fireworks show on Thursday, July 4th. Come and celebrate with family and friends in the beautiful park on the grounds of MFUMC. Reserved tables and lawn spaces with optimum fireworks views, BBQ plates, and glowing trinket sales will be offered to benefit MUST Ministries. Join us for games and children’s activities or find a quiet spot under the magnolia leaves for an afternoon chat with friends. And to top it all, you’ll have the BEST seat in town for Marietta’s spectacular fireworks!
