SANTASAT DEC 12 – SANTA’S WORKSHOP ON THE SQUARE – The workshop is open to visitors Dec. 12, 13, 20-24. Santa’s hours: Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sundays, December 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Weekdays Dec.21, 22 & 23: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Thursday, December 24: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The line to meet Santa closes one hour before his workshop closes. SAT-SUN DEC 12-13 – CHRISTMAS ROYAL TEA AND GRAND YULETIDE BALL – The Strand will transform from the historic theatre we know and love to a royal residence for the Prince and Princess of the season and their revered guests on Dec 12 & 13, 19 & 20 at 10am and noon. SUN DEC 13 – SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF THE SEASON – Presented by Great Gig Dance Co, this musical Christmas variety show will feature talented dancers, singers, musicians and more at Northstar Church 3413 Blue Springs Rd, Kennesaw. SUN DEC 13 – MENORAH LIGHTING ON MARIETTA SQUARE – 6:30-7:30pm, Congregation Ner Tamid will hold a ceremony on the Glover Park Stage to light a Menorah as part of a Chanukah Celebration which will include holiday music and fun children’s games. TUE DEC 15 – DINNER WITH SANTA – Come enjoy a night with Santa at California Dreaming from 6-9pm! Free pics with Santa, face painting, live holiday music and more! THU-SAT DEC 17-19 – NATIVITY ON THE MARIETTA SQUARE – Stroll through the Historic Marietta Square and listen to the sounds of the season celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.  Performances by local church choirs, musicians and puppetry arts.  Sponsored by Citizens for Christian Christmas Celebration on the Marietta Square.  Please join us for free hot chocolate, apple cider and cookies.  The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th and 18th, and on the 19th the festivities will begin at 12:00 p.m.

THUR. DEC 4 – SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN 5:00 And he is coming on a firetruck. What could be more exciting for our children than to see Santa arrive with all the bells and whistles. Join Santa Claus for the kick off to the holiday season in Marietta, Thursday, Dec. 4, in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with performances by local school choruses. Santa will make his grand entrance at 5:20 p.m. and light the giant Christmas tree at 6 p.m. More entertainment will follow while Santa visits with children in the gazebo until 8 p.m.

THUR DEC 4 – HOLIDAY CANDLELIGHT SERVICE – 7pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw. An uplifting and meaningful way for families who have suffered a loss to start the holiday season.

THUR. DEC 4 DINNER WITH SANTA. Pitner Elementary School invites you to ring in the holiday season with “Dinner with Santa and Basket Raffle” on Thursday, December 4 from 5-8pm at Pitner Elementary School. The school is located at 4575 Wade Green Rd NW in Acworth, near Wildwood Baptist Church. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and bring your own camera to have your picture taken with Santa — all for just $1! There will also be a basket raffle with tickets available for $1. You can also enter to win an Atlanta Braves jersey autographed by Marquis Grissom!

FRI DEC 5 – SANTA’S ARRIVAL IN ACWORTH – Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Santa is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m. There will be a host of live performances until 9:00 p.m. to help Santa kickoff the holiday season. SAT DEC 6 – KENNESAW’S DAY WITH SANTA – Festivities begin at noon with a Main Street parade featuring costumed characters, designer floats, marching bands, and live reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh. The celebration continues near the Depot with a holiday host of activities and seasonal entertainment. Attractions will include FREE snow tubing courtesy of Wellstar, the event’s presenting sponsor; as well as inflatables and amusements, a kid’s craft station, visits with Santa, and a holiday market full of gift ideas and unique merchandise. SAT DEC 6 – POLAR EXPRESS ADVENTURE – The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History, located at 2829 Cherokee Street in downtown Kennesaw, is bringing back its popular Polar Express Adventure. The special holiday event is scheduled from 5-9 p.m. The museum is offering special pricing for the event. SUN DEC 7 – WELLSTAR’S LITE THE NIGHT TREE LIGHTING – 4:30-6 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for photos. There will be festive children’s activities, holiday musical performances and delicious cookies and hot chocolate. Members of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra Chorus are our special musical guests. Lite the Night takes place on the rooftop level* of the WellStar Kennestone Hospital’s Blue Parking Deck. Free admission and parking.

SUN-MON DEC 7-8 – CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT – The Carols by Candlelight, 15th annual Concert is at 7:00pm, presented by First Baptist Church of Marietta’s choir and orchestra.
