Taste of Kennesaw – Sat. Sept 6

Taste of Kennesaw logoWho doesn’t like to eat?

The Kennesaw Business Association and the City of Kennesaw invite you and your family to sample more than 30 local restaurants from the Kennesaw and Cobb County area.    This is a great way to sample all your favorite restaurants again and again! Come out on Saturday, September 6th from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM in downtown Kennesaw.

Admission is FREE and samples may be purchased from 1 dollar up to 4 dollars.  We are expecting more than 30 restaurants including The Melting Pot, Wing Stop, Williamson Bros. BBQ, Bruster’s Ice Cream, Big Shanty Smokehouse, Sandra’s Southern Tradition, Twisted Kitchen, Guston’s, Capo’s NY Pizza, Henrys, Zaxby’s, Marietta Fish Market, Copelands, Trackside Grill, Dogwood Terrace, 540 Kitchen & Social House, Mellow Mushroom, Carrabba’s & California Dreaming and more to tempt your taste buds and fill your senses.  Water and soft drinks will be sold by the North Cobb Warriors and the Kennesaw Mountain High School Mustangs.  Bring a canned good or two for the Shiloh UMC Food Pantry — their shelves are looking a bit bare.

The Main Street entertainment stage will have local entertainment all day and culminate with a concert at 6:00 p.m by The Mustangs.  Spend the last days of summer, listening to the sounds of music, and enjoying dinner with friends, neighbors and family.    The Taste of Kennesaw California Dreaming beer garden  will be under a huge tent with plenty of seating to sit back and wash down the delicious samples of food with an ice cold brew! It will also feature acoustic sounds of Scott Thompson from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

An enormous Kids Zone with interactive inflatables featuring the 33’ Shark Slide, Euro Bungee Quad Jump, 24’ Rockwall, 120’ Roller Coaster Obstacle Course, and much more will rise in two places at the Festival — on Main Street and at the Depot.

Check out the Depot Stage as four local high school seniors will compete in the Carrabba’s Culinary Cook-off at the Taste of Kennesaw for a $3,000 scholarship to the culinary school of choice.   The first two will go head to head from 10:30 a.m. – Noon and the second two from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Taste of Kennesaw will benefit five local charities: Shop with a Mustang (Kennesaw Mountain High School); Shop with a Warrior (North Cobb High School); Shop with a Longhorn (Kell High School); MUST Ministries  and the Jerry Worthan Community Christmas Fund
