Looking for some family fun events, before you finish your back to school shopping.  Only two more weeks before the doors of our hallowed learning halls our open.  Not ready for summer fun to end.


A Strand Musical Revue
The Strand is celebrating its fifth annual Motown musical revue with fan favorite The Motown Sound in July 2015! With each passing year, the praise for the Motown revue grows, making each year a bigger smash hit that the last. With an extensive catalog of Motown hits to choose from, The Motown Sound whisks audiences back to the 1960s and 70s with the feel-good hits of the much celebrated Motown era.
Audiences are sure to enjoy the big hair, colorful fashions, and soulful sounds of Stevie Wonder, Martha & the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, and Gladys Knight & The Pips in this high-energy, high-excitement musical revue that is unlike any other experience in the area.
The Motown Sound will run from through July 26th on Friday & Saturday nights at 8pm, with Sunday matinees at 3pm. Shows tend to sell out so secure your tickets fast!

Harvest-vegetablesFresh fruit, fresh vegetables, breads, plants and more are in abundance at our local Farmer’s Markets.  Nothing is better than fresh and local.  Several vendors are certified organic farms, while others are selling their home grown bounty for sale.

EVERY MONDAY – Kennesaw Food Truck Rally and Farmer’s Market at the Depot in downtown Kennesaw.  Farmer’s Market open from 3-7.  Food Trucks serving from 6-9.

EVERY FRIDAY ACWORTH FARMERS MARKET 7-12.  Located in the Acworth First Baptist Church Parking lot on Main St., Acworth.

SAT & SUN – MARIETTA FARMER’S MARKET. Takes up residence on North Park Square on Saturday and opens 9-12. And on Sundays on Mill Street starting at noon. Market customers have lots of variety to choose from including heirloom tomatoes, fruits and vegetables that are rarely, available from the grocery store. Plus lots of the staples such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, squash, beans, amazing cut flower arrangements, local honey, herbal soaps, whole grain breads, fudge pies, jelly, jam and preserves.
